Sleeper's Artifice
Painting: four adventurers, a dwarf, an elf, a halfling and a knight, laugh around a tavern table covered in maps, coins, dice and an open notebook, lit by a candle.

About Worlds, stories, and the tools to play them.

We make things for fantasy games: GM and player tools, subclass and gameplay options, modules, and even an upcoming setting all our own. We also send out a free newsletter every Tuesday, with tips, tricks, and free tools.

Painting: a man seen from behind draws a dragon in a sketchbook at a cluttered desk at night, by the light of one oil lamp.

Who’s behind it The workshop is always running.

We’re a small indie shop, and by we, I mean I, and by small, I mean just me. I build worlds and tools. I run tabletop games, and I play in them, and I love to see what’s out there being created by other people. Most of what’s on this page is something I created to run my own games, or as a player in someone else’s. A lot of it is stuff we needed in the moment. Most of it gets made late at night, after work, while everyone is asleep, or early before they wake up. Either way, the workshop is always running.

Painting: a knight, a bard with a lute, a farmhand with a pitchfork and an elf walk a sunny mountain path with a pack mule, above a walled town on a blue bay.

Dreaming up next

On the drafting table right now: one-shots, short adventure modules, a campaign setting, and even some fiction. The design team (still just me) will let you know the minute the proofs are ready.

Engraving: an open book of tables on a desk at night, with two dice falling above it and a candle burning beside it.
  • Cover of The Night’s Ledger
  • Cover of Torn Kingdoms
  • Cover of The Toll Road
  • Cover of The Sundered Page
  • Card from the deck: The Long Crack. A crack opens at the far wall and starts crossing the room. Anything heavy standing in its path could go through the floor.

What’s on the shelf

Everything we make is in the Shop: card decks, d66 tables, subclasses, campaign ledgers, maps and more, as printable PDFs.
