About the book
The Sundered Page was made for the One-Page RPG Jam 2026. The theme that year was Fractured, and the game takes the word at face value.
You draw a kingdom on a sheet of paper and name a few places you'd hate to lose. Then you fold the map twice and tear it into four pieces, and the tear will probably run through something you cared about. Each fragment gets a d6 roll to find out what happened there, and then the wayfarers set out across the broken edges. Old crossings are the safer bet. When a new way works, those edges matter later, once the map goes back together.
After five expeditions you tape the kingdom back up around the crossings that held. The failed ones stay on the map as gaps and broken routes, so an old road might stop short of where it was going and a river might miss its old course. A fragment the players never reach stays apart for good. The taped map is yours to keep, seams and all, and it makes a handy campaign start, with named places and problems already sitting on the paper.
It plays in about 45 minutes and resets easily. You'll need a sheet of paper, a pencil, one d6, some tape, and a pen or highlighter for the seams (gold or yellow work best).
If you'd like maps made for tearing, Torn Kingdoms is six printable region maps, each in a named and a blank edition, built to be marked, folded, and torn at the table: Torn Kingdoms.
